Schedule your broadcast

In order to successfully confirm your broadcast you must first log into the UTBox Member Centre. You may also log in at http://www.utbox.net .

Once you are logged in click the "Broadcasting" tab - the fourth tab from the left at the top of the page.

You are now ready to begin scheduling and confirming a broadcast. Please follow the steps below to successfully schedule and confirm a new broadcast:

Please click Broadcasting in the UTBox Member Centre.

At the top of this page click "Browse" next to "Select the document to be broadcast:". We recommend .PDF format for non merged broadcasts. .DOC format is required for merged broadcasts.

Step 3

Locate the document you would like to broadcast, then click open to select it.

In the dialog next to "Select list(s) to broadcast to:" simply click the list you would like to broadcast to. By default the first list is automatically selected.

There are a number of broadcast specific settings. For most users it is fine to leave them as they are.

  • Send report to: If you would like a report to be sent via email to a nominated email address upon completion of the broadcast ensure that the check box is ticked and appropriate email address included in the text box.
  • TSI: Is the number sent to the receiving fax machine as the originating number. By default it is your UTBox service number.
  • Resolution: Allows you to change fax resolution. Please note there is a 50% surcharge on fine resolution broadcasts.
  • Fax mail merge If you are uploading a .DOC file and wish to conduct a merged broadcast please ensure this box is checked.

Click "Next" to proceed.

Please review the important information on the confirmation screen.

  • Cost: The minimum price is the minimum charge that will be incurred. The minimum value will be charged if the 50% or less of the destinations are delivered to successfully. The maximum value will be charged if 100% of the destinations are delivered to successfully.

For large non-scheduled broadcasts the system will calculate the time in which it will be delivered. This gives you an indication of the current load of the system and projected finish time of the broadcast as well as the projected duration of the broadcast.

If you'd like to schedule your broadcast for non-immediate sending please select the date and time paying special attention to set both the time and date correctly.

System projections for time to completion and duration of broadcast are not valid for scheduled broadcasts and only apply to non-scheduled broadcasts.

Please preview your document as what is displayed has been rendered by the system and is exactly what will be sent to the receiving fax machine. Please ensure the number of pages are as expected and if merging is being used please ensure all merge fields function correctly.

Please only press "Start Broadcast" when you have ensured all details are correct. Minimum charges apply once this button is pressed and broadcasts are queued immediately.

Congratulations! You have successfully scheduled your broadcast.

To check the progress of your current broadcast, or to see a report on a past broadcast simply click "Current/Past Broadcasts" in the left hand side menu bar.
