Fax Printer Driver Installation Instructions

The UTBox Fax Printer is a printer driver that allows you to use the Print option in any Windows application to send a fax using the UTBox internet fax service.

This requires a version of Windows with Windows Fax and Scan. If Windows Fax and Scan is not installed you will be prompted to install and may require your original Windows media.

To begin, download the printer driver below, when prompted, save the file.

To download a file to your computer, right click the link and select "Save Target As...

Installation and Configuration Instructions

Step 1
	Locate the downloaded UTBox Fax Printer Driver and double click.
Step 2
	If a security warning such as the one displayed below appears, simply click 'Run' to proceed.
Step 3
	The welcome screen will appear. When you would like to proceed, click 'Next'.

	Once you have read the license agreement on this next page select 'I Agree' and click 'Next' to proceed.
Step 5
	Wait while the installer completes the installation process.
Step 6
	Click "Next" to proceed.
Step 7
	Click "Close" to begin configuration of the UTBox Fax Printer Driver.
Step 8
	Fill in all the appropriate details in the "Properties" dialog box.
Step 9
	You may now wish to send a test email to verify that your details are correct. To do so, simply click "Test Mail".
Step 10
	Due to the configuration settings of some SMTP servers, it may be necessary for users to adjust the default "Advanced" settings to enable the UTBox Fax Printer Driver to work properly.
Step 11
	Steps 12 - 14 relate directly to the installation of the "Windows Fax and Scan". If you have already installed this service, you will not be asked to do so again and the UTBox Fax Printer Driver will be ready for use. If you do not have Windows Fax and Scan installed already you may be asked for your Windows installation media and follow the instructions below.
Step 12 (if required)
	Click "OK" to begin the installation of the "Windows Fax Service".
Step 13 (if required)
	Click on the check box next to "Fax Services" and click "Next" to continue.
Step 14 (if required)
	You have now completed the installation of the "Windows Fax Service" and are now able to use the UTBox Fax Printer Driver. For the first time you use the printer driver only, you will be prompted for details by a Windows wizard.
