Does the business hold an active Australian ABN?
The ACMA checks this against the Australian Business Register first — a cancelled or incorrect ABN is rejected on the spot. Confirm yours is showing as Active on ABN Lookup before you start.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has introduced tightened measures to block SPAM traffic on SMS messaging, which has practical implications for UTBox. Since 1 July 2026, an alphanumeric sender ID that is not on the register appears as Unverified to recipients in Australia, and can be blocked or replaced with a generic one.
