*Doctors and the healthcare industry

Faxing, specifically online faxing, has been a controversial issue with the healthcare industry due to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). It has been a constant debate for doctors on either using the traditional way of sending health records to patients through fax or adopting electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. In which case many has opted to choose the former because of security purposes.

*Public relations

In this day and age, sales pitching becomes more efficient when being faxed instead of email. According to some publicists, sending hard copies are more effective comparing to browsing through hundreds of emails. Worst, some of their emails get spammed.

*Law firms and the judiciary
